A similar thread will also be posted in the forum for all to see :)

Here are the information of the selected film titles (all are rated pg here ^^)

A TREE OF PALME (ANIME!!!) Date: Apr 26 Venue: Prince 1 Time: 4pm

At the base of a huge tree, Fow, an ancient botanist, lives in a hut with a malfunctioning wooden robot named Palme. A wounded warrior arrives at the secluded outpost just ahead of her marauding pursuers, she passes a capsule to Palme and makes him vow to deliver it to Tamas, a world deep underground. Like the Pinocchio myth dragged screaming into a mythical, surreal future, A Tree of Palme explores the meaning of humanity. On his perilous journey, Palme encounters people a lot less mechanical but a lot more soulless than himself. Alarmed by the transience of existence the faithful robot weathers a succession of trials and battles to fulfil his quest.

BOKUNCHI - MY HOUSE (MOVIE) Date: May 01 Venue: Jade 1 Time: 9.15pm

Brothers Nita and Itta are thrilled when their wayward mother returns home after disappearing for six months, even if she does bring back an elder sister they never knew existed. But their joy is short-lived when their mother takes off again, this time, after selling their house. Homeless in a derelict port town on a small island, the brothers and their newly acquired sister begin a journey of self-discovery, change and acceptance, coming across an assortment of oddball characters who are short on cash, but full of life, generosity and humanity.

DOLLS (MOVIE) Date: May 03 Venue: Prince 1 Time: 4pm

Three stories of undying love, inspired by the everlasting emotions of the precious dolls of Bunraku theatre, all delicately intertwine in this film that captures the beauty of sadness. A once happy, marriage-bound couple now torn apart by the pressures of meddling parents and success, roam the earth in a mindless haze attached to each other by a long red cord, in search for something now forgotten. Rich but lonely, an aged yazuka boss is irresistibly drawn back to the park where he used to meet the one true love he gave up for success 30 years ago. And a former pop star, ruing her fate after an accident leaves her scarred, is about to meet her most devoted fan.

Hope to hear from all of you and good luck in your coming exams!
