There’ll be a Jpop concert held at Sentosa this Sat.! Details are as follows:

Venue: Sentosa, Siloso Beach
Date: 26th July, 2003 (Saturday)
Time: 1900 ¨C 2100 hrs
Admission: Free
Performing Band: Gypsy Queen (J-Pop Band from Japan)
The event is one of the major event of the Japan-ASEAN Exchange Year 2003, which was mooted by Prime Minister Koizumi on his ASEAN tour in January 2002. More events are in the pipeline.
JUGAS members and friends are requested to give the performance a strong support with a good turn out. Further details will be posted on JUGAS website: www.jugas.org.sg
How to get to the concert:
By NEL/Public Bus
- The nearest NEL station is Harbour Front
- At the bus terminal, there are Sentosa buses (queue at left side of the terminal) which you can take into the island. You will alight at Visitor Arrival Centre
- SEA Village (where the buffet lunch/dinner is) is right next to the Visitor Arrival Centre
- From here, you can take the Blue Line Bus to Underwater World Bus stop where it is just a walking distance to the event venue - Siloso Beach
- Alternatively, you can take the monorail to M2 Underwater World/Siloso Station
ABOUT GYPSY QUEEN
Gypsy Queen is made up of 5 members: - Vocalist: Ms Shinon, Bassist : Aki, Drummer : Masao, Keyboardist : Jun and Guitarist : Macha.
The band was formed in 1997 and is the Cultural Ambassador for fostering friendship between the people of Japan and ASEAN countries. It had staged numerous performances in China, Mongolia and Hong Kong. It performed three times in Hong Kong with Yip Sai Wing, a member of ¡®BEYOND¡¯, including once at the
¡°Countdown 2003¡± in Hong Kong.
The band plays music of many countries and also sings in the languages of the country where they perform. It has made many appearances on TV and radio.
