Waseda Shibuya High School Festival - Seiransai

Japanese Singing Contest - NodoJiman

Hi everyone!

Hope that all of you enjoy the recent Summer Festival.

Remember the singing contest that Kubo-sensei mentioned in his message during Annual General meeting? That contest is called NodoJiman, an amateur singing contest held by NHK.

If you’re good in your singing and interested in having a go in this prestigious contest, do register fast as the due date for applications will be on 15 Sep.

Condition for applicant: Resident (over 15 years old) in Singapore or the neighbouring area (Johor / Batam / Bintan)

Song selection : Japanese song only

Application: Only by mail with the application form will be available.
Kindly prepare a self-addressed envelope (220mm x 110 mm) pasted with a 22 cents Singapore stamp, with your name, mailing address clearly written on it, and mail it to the address stated below.

Note:

Residents residing in Johor Bahru, please paste a 40 cents Singapore stamp on your self-addressed envelope.

Residents residing in Batam and Bintan , please paste a 60 cents Singapore stamp on your self-addressed envelope.

Applications which do not contain the stipulated envelope with name, address and stamp all in order will be rejected.

Due Date: All application forms must be received not later than September 15, 2003.

Mid Oct.: The first selection (Approx. 200 entries will be selected. The result will be informed by mail.)
Oct. 31: The final selection at the Suntec hall and the final contestants will be selected on this day. (Approx. 25 entries will be selected)
Nov. 1: Rehearsal (All the final contestants must join it at Suntec hall on this day.)
Nov. 2: Final Event (Live Telecast Program)

(Singapore residents)
Kindly prepare a self-addressed envelope (220mm x 110 mm) pasted with a 22 cents Singapore stamp, with your name, mailing address clearly written on it, and mail it to the address stated below. Each application is entitled to a maximum of 4 tickets, and the applicant is required to facilitate the names, address and contact number of all persons who wish to attend the concert (Children under the age of 3 need not apply for a ticket). Exchange vouchers will be mailed to the applicant using the pre-stamped self-addressed envelope.

Your application must reach The Japanese Association by 15th Sept 2003.
If the response is overwhelming, the association will draw lots to allocate the tickets. Each application is entitled to a maximum of 4 tickets.
Information on exchange of tickets is clearly stated on the exchange voucher.
