Waseda Trip Updates

Hello Everyone,

I just received information that people who are intending to go to Waseda High School has to fill a form. Please come by outside of ITAS LT 8 on Saturday to fill up this form. I will be sitting outside from 10am to 4pm with the forms. If you have any problems with meeting up on Saturday, please email me again at jcg_stuff@hotmail.com and I see if I can make any arrangements.

Sorry if it wasn’t clear. When I said Saturday, I meant this Saturday aka 11th September outside the Samurai 7 screening venue. (Probably was a little blur/sleepy when I was writing that email) I will be around from 10am to 4pm. Please for those who wants to go, you have to FILL this form for Kubo sensei.

Ritsumeikan Uni’s Informal Comm Session

There will be an informal communication session with Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University on Monday, 27th September at 1pm.

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University is the first university which conducts lectures bilingually in English and Japanese and have a number of international students especially from Asia. Because of linguistic skills and communication skills of APU students, the university has a good reputation and various job opportunities for graduate.

What’s Happening on September?

Hey Everyone,

It’s already the start of a new September month and you might wonder what activities are we going to have? Well, here’s the scoop of our upcoming events for the month:

Samurai 7 Anime Screening
Date: 11th September
Location: ITAS LT 8
Time: 11am to 4pm

Based on Akira Kurosawa’s classic movie, The Seven Samurai. The story is about a small village being attacked by robbers who takes their harvest crops. In desperation, the villagers set on to find and recruit some samurai who would defend their village. Will their only saviour be able to rescue them before the robbers take their next crops?

Mini Intake (July Semester)
Date: 11th September
Location: Outside ITAS LT 8

For those who have not registered to be part of JCG Member or have friends interested in joining JCG, come down to our mini-intake for registration. As usual, $15 for new members and $5 for renewal of current membership.

JCG’s Sushi-Making Session
Date: 18th September
Location: ITAS 5-5-24
Time: 10am to 12pm, 1pm to 3pm

Want to enrich your cooking knowledge and learn how to make those delicious sushi. Watch out for more news about this event. You get to learn how to make from the humble maki rolls to the advanced nigiri sushi. A day of great fun and yes, SUSHI!

Azumi Movie Re-screening

Requested by those who missed the screening for the Bon-Odori dance practice. The movie is about a group of assassins with swash-buckling action, a freaky gay-looking evil villain and other odd characters. If you enjoy watching those samurai/ninja type of movies, then this is one for you. Lots of action and humour, Azumi will entertain you.
