Waseda Shibuya High School Trip

there will be a trip to the Waseda Shibuya High School on 18 September 2005, Sunday. This will most probably in the morning.

Meeting time will be around 9am. Their festival will be starting at 10am to 4pm.

It is their annual school festival, which involves the participation of the students and there are events like school bands, games in the classrooms and skits performed by them.

For those who wants to go,please send me an email with your name, matric number, contact number and sch/year of study to monkeylovebananas at gmail.com before 10 September 2005.

Japanese Language Camp

JCG will be having a Japanese Language Camp between 21-23 September 2005. If you’re interested in Japanese Language, come and join us on either session:

Morning session – Introduction to Japanese (no pre-requisite)
$15/- for three days

Afternoon session – Prepartory lesson for JLPT 3 and 4 Listening Skills
$5 per day

For both courses, materials are provided.
Costs is as written above.

Takoyaki is a fast food snack sold in shops and sidewalk stalls.Takoyaki was invented by Endo Tomekichi. Endo founded a takoyaki shop called Aizu-ya in Osaka, but in the early days, he operated out of a sidewalk stall and used a different recipe, dropping small pieces of meat and konnyaku (devil’s tongue) into the batter. In 1935, he started using octopus instead, and added a flavoring to the batter. The new food caught on quickly, and before long, it spread from Osaka to every part of Japan.

Hi, JCG committee members

Minasan, Konnichiwa.
I’m looking for some students who can participate for trial Japanese class on Wednesday, 17th AUG.
There’s nothing for a requirement. If you and JCG members could attend this trial class, it is enough.
The trial class purpose is to get feedback from participants for better understanding of CDS Japanese course.
Therefore at the end of the tutorial, you need to fill in a simple feedback form.
Otherwise enjoy learning Japanese!
