Hi all,
In conjunction with Hidden Faces: The Art of Japanese Masks, the Asian Civilisations Museum is going Japanese for the day.
Comprising demonstrations like Japanese papermaking, kimono-wearing, ikebana (flower arrangement) and tea ceremony, as well as performances of taiko drums, folk dance and J-rock, there is something for everyone! Anime fans - there is also an anime marathon.
A mini Japanese bazaar will also be taking place, with some of our TPJCG members participating in it.
Date: Sunday, 15 October 2006
Time: 10am - 9pm
Venue: Asian Civilisations Museum (1 Empress Place, Singapore 179555)
Admission: Free
For more programme details, please check out the poster.
We will be organising a group to visit the exhibition. If you are interested in joining us, please send an email to valentine@tpjcg.org with your name, admission number, contact number, school and year of study by Friday, 13 October 2006. SEAL points will be awarded for participation.
