Ichigo Daifuku Making Session

Say what? Ichigo Daifuku?

Those cute round balls of mochi stuff filled with strawberry?

Oh yes, it is.

Salutations fellow schoolmates!

You know it! For the month of July, we will be shining our spotlight on one of Japan’s most favourite traditional desserts, Ichigo Daifuku! “Ichigo” translates as strawberry and “Daifuku” is a Japanese sweet cake consisting of a small round glutinous rice cake stuffed with sweet filling, most commonly sweetened red bean paste.

Usually eaten during spring time, Ichigo Daifuku is popular due to its tenderness and sweetness. It is definitely worth something to learn how to make a Japanese sweet dessert!

What are you waiting for? Join our Ichigo Daifuku making session! Don’t worry if you are a new starter, because we will be guiding you along the way to making this wonderful dessert.

Date: Saturday, 26 July 2008
Time: 10am to 12pm; 1pm to 3pm
Venue: IT 5-6-15
Admission: $8 (members), $10 (non-members)
