“Let’s Gokon!” Outing

Hey everyone!!!

Are you aware of what goes on in a Gokon meeting? We are organising this Gokon event for everyone to enjoy a wonderful day. You may bring a friend along to join in, but we will need equal numbers of both genders to participate.

Price: from $15 to $25

Japanese Song Karaoke Taikai

Are you interested to expand your Japanese Music repertoire? Come on down to listen to the finalists of the Japanese Song Competition! Knock yourself out and get to know more Japanese songs too!

End Semester BBQ and Chalet

Think charcoal. Grill. Fire. Sleepover.

Yes folks! We’ll be organising a chalet cum barbecue to enjoy after the stress of the exams! Relax and chill for a night of movies, anime and Japanese dramas. This would be your chance to get away from all the exam hype and give your tensed brain a wee break! :)

Date: 25 to 27 September 2009 (Friday to Sunday)
Time: 6pm till late
Venue: Aloha Loyang Sea View Bungalow 2
Cost: $16 for barbecue only (2nd night); $18 if staying past 11.30pm

If you want to stay for more fun, some communal living experience, or are just too stoned to get home, the chalet lasts until Sunday, 27 September 2009.

Drawing Sessions (September)

Hi all,

More drawing sessions for the month of September! Anyone who is interested in drawing in the style of Japanese animation is welcome. This is a relaxed get-together for artists of any level, giving anyone an opportunity to come together, draw, share tips, make friends, chill out and have fun.

Day: Mondays (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th September 2009)
Time: 6pm to 8pm
Venue: 5-5-15 (Applied Science)

Admission to drawing sessions is free. If you’re feeling shy, feel free to ask a friend or two along too!

Japanese Chorus, Koto and Harmonica Concert

Are you interested in listening to a Japanese chorus and instruments?? The Japanese Cultural Society of Singapore will be organising a Japanese Chorus, Koto (Japanese zither/string instrument) and Harmonica Concert.
