Drawing Sessions (March)

Hi all,

More drawing sessions for the month of March! Anyone who is interested in drawing in the style of Japanese animation is welcome. This is a relaxed get-together for artists of any level, giving anyone an opportunity to come together, draw, share tips, make friends, chill out and have fun.

Day: Mondays (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd March 2010)
Time: 6pm to 8pm
Venue: 5-5-15 (Applied Science)

Admission to drawing sessions is free. If you’re feeling shy, feel free to ask a friend or two along too!

“Soul of Japan” Shamisen Concert

Hi all,

Hope all of you have finished your exams and done well. Here’s something you can attend during your vacation period.

Mr Matsumoto Baisho and his troupe from Japan has invited us to their upcoming event “Soul of Japan” Shamisen Concert!

The shamisen is a traditional Japanese three-stringed instrument with a history that dates back to the late 16th century. Since then, its distinctive sound has gained huge popularity amongst the Japanese and foreigners alike.

Date: Saturday, 13 March 2010
Time: 7:00pm onwards (doors open at 6:30pm)
Venue: Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel
Admission: Free (free-seating)

Registration is required. You may do so here. Registration will close once all seats are taken up.
