3 Day Japanese Language and Cultural Boot Camp

Hi fellow members, how’s holidays been for u guys? Did u enjoyed n yet managed to spend it meaningfully? If the answer is no, i’m glad that i’m bringing u a piece of good news that for this semester holidays JCG is going to conduct a 3 day duration japanese language and cultural crash course. For those who all along have been rather keen in learing Japanese but did’t had the chance hope this is a gd news for u. Moreover esp for those members who are going for the Japanese bagpack trip u’ll find this trip coming in rather handy.
However quite alot of details are still not confrim yet but at least the dates are more or less set, the details are:

Date: May 19, 20 and 21 (thur-Sat)
Staying over in school: not confrim
Instructors: Alumni and committe members
Charges/Fees: unknown (still needs to be confirm)
Courses: begineer and refreshment(for those who already know some jap)
PS: in between the lessons some recreation and liesure activities would be slot in.

Thia Saturday’s Yukata Wearing Sessions

First of all, I would like to apologise for the late notification of this activity to interested members. I sincerely hope that those who are interested will turn up for this event. The details are:

Venue:IT school Blk5-5-24
Time:10.30am-1pm
Activity: Learning how to wear traditional Yukata,(female yukata only)
we also have camera to take pictures down of members when they put on the Yukata.
Fees - members:FOC, non-members:$1 charge

Because we only have female Yukata so guys I’m sorry to tell you that you can’t participate in the event, but if you still wanna come down, please do so.If you have any enquries please contact us through ae_jcg@yahoo.com

Tis Saturday’s Jmusic screening

Hello everyone,

I tink those who are interested in this event, would wonder what artistes we’ll be goin to screen on that day. Though not confrim, but most probably the list would consist of Ayumi, KinkiKids, Namie Amuro, boybands, some rock bands that we have not confrim yet and some live performance(e.g:Music Station). For those who r intersested pls come down as this is the 1st time round that the A&E is having Jpop related screeing n for those who r jus coming for the mini in-take pls drop by the LT and participate in the event too. Just mingle around, and maybe you’ll never know, you may someone that likes a certain idol/artiste just like you do. The details are below:

Venue: ITAS LT 15
Time: 11am to 1pm(approximately)
Cost: Free for Members & $1 for Non-Members

Participate in JAS’s Chingay Parade 2005

hi to all members! Chingay 2005 is around the corner n as usual JAS is takin part in this year’s parade n they hav invited us to join them in this annual exciting grand event. So what will we be doin?
Simple, we’ll jus participate n join them in their performance at the parade which is normally performin the Bon-dance a traditional japanese folk dance. If anyone of u guys are interested these are the details….
The dance practices will be held at JAS every monday n thur from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, every fri n sat from 2pm to 4pm. from now to Jan but we do not need to attend all the practises so dun worry. The rehearsals are 15 n 29 of Jan & 18 n 19 of Feb.
If your free n is able commit pls send me ur full name, matric no, which sch ur in n which yr ur studying to ae_jcg@y… or if u hav any enquires u can also mail to us via the above email.
Take note that HIGH seal points will be awarded for participation, moreover tis event does not come by often n those who are interested in Jap culture, tis is the time for you learn more of what ur interested in as we will be mingling ard with the local japanese very often, so pls try to take part in it, if you hav the time.

Last JAS Activity Before School Reopen

On the 3rd of Dec(this friday, the A&E subcomm has a japanese culture event line up for you. Its about learning a japanese traditional instrument call koto(its somehow similar to our chinese ku zhen) its free of charge.
